Youth Connect Program

Youth Connect Program

Over the past few years our team has delivered the Youth Connect Program in person to mostly Black Canadian youths within the Peel region. This program is aimed at fostering an inclusive, supportive and interactive environment for the youth aged 15-30, especially youth that are hard to reach, in the Brampton South area.

However, with recent changes due to Covid-19 we are unable to proceed with our “Youth Connect Program” in person. We understand that especially during these unprecedented times, many high school students are faced with a wide array of challenges. Hence, taking our program online would offer students an opportunity to engage in workshops and discussions which take up some of the concerns that they might have. We hope to provide a healthy and constructive environment for the youth, allowing them to become community leaders, cope with any personal or social problems in a healthy and encouraging manner through destressor activities which also help build their life skills.

Before we begin these online workshops we would like to hear back from the Youth. To better understand their needs and concerns, we have created an online survey which lists issues that may be of interest to them at this time.

Our goal is to provide recreational programs that promote a healthy lifestyle while practicing safe social distancing protocols.
