A Snapshot of Our Impact in 2024
Maria never thought she’d learn to video chat with her grandchildren at age 78. “I felt left behind in this digital world,” she says, tears welling up as she describes her journey through our Digital Skills for Seniors program. “Now I see their smiling faces every Sunday, even though they live across the country.”
Down the hall from our computer room, you’ll find Robert, 82, leading a gentle exercise class. A former participant turned volunteer instructor in our Recreation and Wellness Program, he’s helping other seniors maintain their mobility and independence. “Movement is medicine,” he often says to his eager students. “But the friendships we make here? That’s the real healing.”
For Eleanor, 75, living on low income meant choosing between medication and meals – until she joined our Grocery Food Voucher program. “The vouchers aren’t just pieces of paper,” she explains while selecting fresh produce at the local market. “They’re my ticket to eating healthy and staying independent in my own home.”
These stories represent just a fraction of the 1,500 seniors we served this year. Each number in our impact report represents a person, a story, a life transformed. Through the generous support of our community partners, we’ve created more than just programs – we’ve built a family where every senior feels valued, connected, and empowered.
As one of our program participants recently said, “Getting older doesn’t mean being left behind.” At Case Community Services, we’re making sure of that, one senior at a time.
