Meet Our Team
C.A.S.E - Our World
CASE is run by a small group of fun-filled individuals in a team who are passionate about eliminating social isolation and promoting inclusiveness and diversity for everyone. Our team is like a jigsaw piece made up of volunteers, interns, co-op members and student practicum interns. We work hard to create a safe and enabling environment for youths, seniors and new immigrants to participate, learn, and positively influence others. We at CASE look to give back to the communities that helped raise us.
Our governance structure aims to maintain a diverse group of individuals to amplify minority representation. The founder and pioneer of CASE (pictured in the bottom row, center) works to empower the Black community members through inclusive programming and community based services.
The hard work and dedication of our staff plays an integral role in fulfilling our vision and accomplishing our goals. We continue to do our best to promote inclusion and participation throughout the Peel Region for individuals of all social identities – newcomers, youth and seniors. We invite all those who share a similar ambition to join our team and help us make a difference in the community.
Canada Summer Jobs
As a part of the Canada Summer Jobs Program, we are dedicated helping young people between the ages of 15 and 29, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information, gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to transition successfully into the labour market. Our staff has a variety of roles including Recreational aide, Administrative Assistant, and Web Developer/Content Writer.
The recreational aides were in charge of the recreational and social activities at Manorbridge, such as Bingo Night and Knitting. They created, planned, organized and implemented the activities and events and worked alongside the residents to make the programs great experiences for the attendees. The administrative assistants were responsible for day to day office tasks, networking and marketing. They were also in charge of filing and making notes at the general meetings. The web developer/content writer was assigned the task of creating a constant flow of communication through the various online platforms of CASE.
The Cooperative Education program at CASE provides students with valuable work experience that will help them find employment in the post-secondary economy. We provide a safe and enabling work environment so that students can fulfill their full potential and find their passions. We partner with various high-schools across the Peel region. Students either work in a professional office environment, work in recreational aide, or a combination of both. Our staff works closely with the students to help them grow and prosper in their desired field.
